Sanford, FL., (February 13, 2017) - The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners and County Manager are committed to providing a productive work environment for our employees. The health and safety of our team members, citizens, and outside personnel who visit our facilities is considered a top priority and administered with the upmost seriousness.

The condition of the County Services Building (CSB) has recently received attention regarding working conditions. The CSB is more than 65 years old and located within a block of Lake Monroe. With age comes wear and tear, as well as a need for increased maintenance. The County employs regular pest control and janitorial services. However, the building's close proximity to a large body of water increases the likelihood of pests . County Facilities Management has worked diligently over the years to mitigate concerns with respect to the fitness of the building and will continue to do so. However, the County Services Building is a clean, structurally sound facility and a safe place to work and visit.

It is the responsibility of County leadership to be mindful of taxpayer dollars and County financial health. Though not the most modern facility, the CSB is a mortgage-free building that saves Seminole County taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.

Seminole County leadership strives to provide our team members with the safest possible work environment to successfully carry out their jobs so that Seminole County continues to be an ideal place to live, work, and play.
