National SAFE KIDS Week 2003: “Wrap Your Arms Around Safety”
WHO: Safe Kids Seminole County
WHAT: To celebrate National SAFE KIDS Week 2003, Safe Kids Seminole County Coalition members will host a Car Seat Check up Event. This event will provide parents, caregivers and children the opportunity to learn more about installing their car seat properly . In addition parents will receive safety information in other high risk injury areas.

WHY: Despite a dramatic decline in the unintentional childhood death rate, preventable injuries are still the number one killer of kids. Through public awareness activities like National SAFE KIDS Week, Safe Kids Seminole County seeks to educate parents about these potential risks to children.

The Safe Kids Seminole County is part of the National SAFE KIDS Campaign, the first and only national non-profit organization dedicated solely to the prevention of unintentional childhood injury—the number one killer of children age 14 and under. The Campaign is made up of more than 300 state and local SAFE KIDS coalitions in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
Founding Sponsor Johnson & Johnson continues its 15-year partnership with the Campaign. Johnson & Johnson will support National SAFE KIDS Week with a national advertising campaign, and by distributing safety checklists through 60,000 retail stores nationwide and sending a freestanding insert of coupons to more than 45 million households.
