Posted on: 2/25/2003

The University of Central Florida Technology Incubator and the Seminole Technology Business Incubation Center (STBIC) have signed an agreement to work together. UCF will market to and place companies that fit their guidelines with the STBIC and continue to manage the client relationship. The goal is to place as many as 10 to 15 new companies with the STBIC in the coming year. UCF will maintain office space at the STBIC in order to provide continuing services to their client base.
The STBIC was created as a partnership between Seminole Community College,Seminole County and the Seminole County Port Authority to foster growth of newly formed technology based busineses. The newly constructed 10,000 square foot STBIC building is located at the Port of Sanford and is already home to eight new companies. The Seminole County Small Business Development Center, also located in the new facilities, provides day to day services to incubator clients and assists another 300 + individual clients with business counseling.
