Generally
when a plat is recorded into the public record,
streets are indicated on the plat and are
named. For various reasons, it may become
necessary to change the name of a platted
street. In order to correct the official
record, a resolution renaming that street
must be approved by the county or city commission.
That resolution is then recorded into the
public record.
This
list is compiled by the Seminole County Addressing
staff and is updated periodically. Please
be advised that the information provided
herein regarding those cities that we do
not address, may be incomplete or not included.
You will need to contact each city individually
for accurate information pertaining to addressing
issues within those municipalities. Prior
to 1984 numbers were not assigned to resolutions
changing the name of a platted street. For
internal tracking and this web based service
a file number is now associated to these
unnumbered resolutions. This list is
not intended to be complete list of all street
name changes in Seminole County, but rather
an informational tool.
